Lucy (aka Skyla) is a singer songwriter from Alrincham, near Manchester.

She is one of the most pre-eminent talents to appear on the ever burgeoning Clubland roster over the past year and looks set to blow up in 2009.

Lucy was encouraged to play music from an early age, inspired by Alanis Morrisette & Vanessa Carlton she was an accomplished pianist by the age of 8 & wrote her first song at the age of 12.

As Skyla she has been asked to perform at some of the biggest dance events in Europe, from the Clubland UK Arena tour to the Clubland Live events in Majorca & Ibiza, wowing tens of thousands of screaming, glow stick waving fans each and every time.

Her first track (Summer Love) alongside the Beat Players is already a dance floor smash and it launched herself perfectly to the masses. Following on from Summerlove, Skyla has recorded her Clubland-esque take on the High Street Musical classic, Breaking Free. You can watch the video above and if the initial online and TV reactions are anything to go buy this release looks set to raise her profile even further and with collaborations with Ultrabeat & Darren Styles in the pipeline, Skyla is most certainly an artist that will keep the dance floors busy this year.
